About Dr Jedha Dening
I’m Dr Jedha, a diabetes nutrition researcher and educator, and creator of the T2Diet Program — Australia’s first digitally delivered nutrition intervention proven in a randomised controlled trial to lower HbA1c, weight, and diabetes medication use.
🔬 Research & Clinical Work
My work focuses on translating nutrition and diabetes research into practical strategies that help people improve blood sugar in everyday life.

PhD in Nutrition and Digital Health and a Master of Human Nutrition, with more than 20 years of experience in the health industry.
As Lead Investigator of the T2Diet Research Program at Deakin University, I conceived and led a multi-phase program of research investigating digitally delivered nutrition interventions for adults with type 2 diabetes. This included the development and evaluation of the T2Diet Program through a randomised controlled trial.
The trial demonstrated significant improvements in HbA1c, body weight, BMI and diabetes medication requirements, and the broader research program resulted in five peer-reviewed publications.
Today, I continue to translate research and emerging evidence into practical, evidence-based nutrition education designed to help Australians better understand blood sugar, food and type 2 diabetes—and make informed choices about their health.
